CBS dropped the bad news on God Friended Me fans last week, announcing the series was cancelled after two seasons. NCIS wrapped last week, yet another series to suffer from the production shut down. Gibbs and Company were even with their last new episode a couple of weeks ago. Broke and Bob (Hearts) Abishola were steady, Tommy lost a tenth.

ABC had two premieres last week. The Bachelor Presents: Listen To Your Heart is the latest entry into the franchise. It opened with middling ratings. The Baker and the Beauty, based on the show of the same name on Israeli television, also premiered last week, opening with low numbers. Chances are, it won't see anything past its initial ten episode run. For Life lost a tenth, normally it would be done, but with production in limbo, it might squeak a reprieve. Black-ish and Mixed-ish may also live to see another year thanks to no pilot season this year.

FOX announced 9-1-1 and 9-1-1 Lone Star were both renewed, no surprise for either show. 9-1-1 was up two tenths from its last new episode. LEGO Masters wrapped its first season, even with the previous week. Renewing the series will be an easy decision for the network to make. Empire wraps next week. The series will end without its planned finale. Fans can hope for a special some time in the future to properly wrap the series.

The CW had rare Saturday programming last week, participating in the One World: Together At Home special that aired across networks (both terrestrial and streaming) world-wide. In The Dark premiered last week, though the network apparently forgot to tell anyone. The series opened a tenth lower than last year. Whose Line remained at the top of the chart, even with its premiere numbers. Dynasty lost the viewers it had gained last week. A repeat of Legends of Tomorrow scored a rare 0.0.

More and more programs are wrapping early, putting a strain on network schedules to either premiere their summer fare early or run more and more repeats and specials. Shows will need to start filming in June to make the September premiere week. If lock-downs remain in place past June, the fall season may be delayed to October or later.

I was surprised when I heard God Friended Me got cancelled, oh well. I hope it ends on a high note. I don't watch NCIS that often, but when I heard Christopher Lloyd was going to guest star on it, I watched it and really liked it. And after finally getting around to watching the final 2 episodes of Deputy, I hope they have a change of heart and bring it back for a second season. Or at least shop it around to a different network.

I was surprised God Friended Me got a seconds season! The rating were never very good when it didn't have NFL football propping it up.

I am surprised about Deputy. The ratings were usually even with Prodigal Son in terms of rating and viewership, and with the pilot season basically dumped, the network is taking a huge risk on a new show sight unseen.

Then where should Deputy be placed? Which network?

I'm not sure what you're asking. If you are asking if another network or streamer will pick up the series, I doubt it.
