Ratings Roundup for the Week of November 26, 2023

CBS is apparently using the delay before the start of the new season to clean house as Bob (Hearts) Abishola was the latest series to receive cancellation news. While the show was never a ratings winner for the network, it was a steady performer. The cancellation likely had more to do with the fact that it was not produced by CBS. Bob (Hearts) Abishola joins Blue Bloods, Young Sheldon, and SEAL Team as CBS (or Paramount+) shows cancelled before the new season starts. Raid the Cage returned to its normal Friday night slot and picked up half a million viewers. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer made its annual appearance last week, down slightly from 2022.

NBC announced renewals for Found and The Irrational last week. Both freshman shows benefitted from the lack of other scripted content, so it will be interesting to see how both shows stack up against the Peacock Network's regular stable of dramas. Found was up nearly three hundred thousand viewers last week. The Irrational is on hiatus until the new year. How the Grinch Stole Christmas was down compared to last year. Shrek the Halls was even.

FOX wrapped Special Forces: World's Toughest Test last week. The reality show ended with higher ratings compared to the previous week, however, its viewer numbers were even, not to mention low. Chances are the show will be cancelled. Bob's Burgers was up a few thousand viewers. Family Guy was down about ten thousand viewers. Snake Oil returned after a week off, down one hundred thousand viewers it couldn't afford.

I was happy to read that the Irrational got a renewal. Still a little bummed about Young Sheldon.
