Episode Discussion

Episode 4 might turn it around for you. But if you insist on comparing any TV-show to its book, then there'll always be a certain degree of disappointment, as it'll most often just be different. Imo. it's a good way to go about it taking it as an entirely new experience, thus there'll be no need for all the comparisons, which most often amount to something negative, as we always tend to love the original better of course.

We've watched the first 6 episodes here, and apart from a few details we're still liking it quite a lot.

I finally decided to give the second episode a try.  I'm still very much not liking the show.

There's still no subtlety when it comes to Aes Sedai in the show.  Moiraine openly destroys the ferry.  The White Cloaks burning an Aes Sedai at the stake?  Eamon Valda seems to be a Questioner in the series, which doesn't seem like a necessary change - couldn't they have at least brought in Jaichim Carridin instead?  At least Perrin will still be able to communicate with wolves, it seems.
