Lesley Sharp was born in Manchester, England as Karen Makinson but was renamed Lesley Sharp upon her adoption at 6 weeks old. Lesley grew up in Formby, which is north of Liverpool. She graduated from Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 1982 and is known for Naked(1993),Afterlife(2005) and The Full Monty(1997). She has been married to Nicholas Gleaves since February 1994. They have two children.
