Glücksbringer

A dead asset manager calls Chief Prosecutor Reuther on the scene. Julia Schröder and Alexander Witte conduct the investigation behind the scenes of an investment company. Sebastian Fuchs was stabbed in the park at a late hour. A robbery seems to be eliminated. As Reuther the widow Dr. Isabel Fuchs-Eschenberg delivers the death message, he finds that their marriage was obviously not carefree. This was not least due to the tense relationship between Sebastian Fuchs and his mother-in-law Hermione Eschenberg. Isabel's mother seems to have had a problem with the fact that her now deceased husband had given Sebastian the management of the Family Office. Sebastian's petty-bourgeois origin obviously did not fit into her worldview.
The relationship between Hermione Eschenberg and Gerlinde Fuchs, the victim's mother, and their partner Bruno Schreiber, who is not a blank page with the police, was correspondingly tense. Investigations into the victim's professional environment finally lead the commissioners to Christian von Buchloe, who supports the Eschenbergs in various sustainability and charity projects. He attended a meeting with Sebastian Fuchs on the day of the crime, but his statements raise questions. It is quickly clear that this complex murder case can only be resolved if Reuther and the investigators succeed in reconstructing the exact course of the crime evening. The episode is available a week before the broadcast in the ZDFmediathek.

Flüchtige Spuren

After an anonymous tip, a 17-year-old is found dead in a holiday apartment. Now it is up to Chief Prosecutor Reuther to find out why the girl had to die. Rabea Finck was reported missing three days earlier. The suspicion of a kidnapping is obvious, even if there was no ransom claim. When Julia Schröder and Alexander Witte deliver the death message to the father, they learn that he is being threatened. A monetary claim seems to be the motive for the kidnapping, since Dennis Finck says there is nothing to be fetched. The commissioners learn that the Fincks have recently had stress with their neighbor Stefanie Gerber, who constantly complained about Rabea. Above all, Ms. Gerber seems to have had a thorn in her side that Rabea was with her son Tobias.
Is she possibly behind the anonymous threats? Another trail leads to Robin Weißenborn, who rented the apartment where the victim was held. As luck would have it, Weißenborn works in Dennis Finck's cell phone shop, of all places, and investigators soon find clues to crooked business. The question soon arises as to what connection there is between Fincks Handyladen and Simone Voss, who runs a bar in the city. To solve this complicated case, Bernd Reuther and the investigators have to find answers to many open questions.

Unter Druck

Legal trainee Fabian Schumann collapses shortly before a trial in the courtroom. Prosecutor General Bernd Reuther and his investigators must clarify the circumstances of the death. Schumann was doing his legal position in the law firm of Dr. Magnus Strelleck, whom Reuther knows only too well as a lawyer. Forensic doctor Dr. Sahra Darbandi assumes cardiac arrest as the cause of death. There are indications of cocaine use. Bernd Reuther asks why the victim used drugs despite a heart defect. Or had someone specifically given him the cocaine to kill him? Chief Commissioner Julia Schröder and High Commissioner Alexander Witte find out that Schumann apparently had no easy relationship with his brother Elias. Legal trainee Dr. Alina Berg and Dr.Teresa Anger puzzles the investigators.
First of all, it is unclear how the two relate to their late colleague. In any case, there seems to be great pressure to perform among the trainee due to the competitive situation. And that Schumann had kept an eye on Teresa Anger of all places did not suit her friend David Reimann at all. There are therefore a number of potential suspects from whom Reuther and the Commissioners have to identify the real perpetrator.
