"Grey's Anatomy" Renewed for Season 20 at ABC

"Grey's Anatomy" continues to write TV history with a renewal for a landmark 20th season, extending its record as the longest-running primetime medical drama. Along with the pickup, which was fully expected, ABC also confirmed that Meg Marinis will serve as showrunner for Season 20. She replaces longtime "Grey's Anatomy" and "Station 19" showrunner Krista Vernoff, who is leaving both series at the end of this season.

‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Season 16 Cut Short by Coronavirus

ABC medical drama “Grey’s Anatomy” is shortening its 16th season in response to the real medical danger posed by coronavirus. The network announced Friday that the season finale of the long-running series will now air on April 9, which will be the 21st episode of the season. “Grey’s Anatomy” has typically aired 24 or 25 episodes per season the last several years.

Chris Carmack to Recur in Season 15

Chris Carmack (Nashville, The O.C.) has joined the cast of Grey's Anatomy for their upcoming 15th season in a recurring role of an orthopedic surgeon who comes to work at Grey Sloan Memorial and is known as an "Ortho God." His characters name and first appearance are not being revealed yet.
