Cast of Mom

If you go to the cast list page for Mom http://www.tvmaze.com/shows/126/mom/cast it shows 12 cast members. Yes most of these people were primary cast at one point or another, but not all of them. The following names have never at any time been a part of the primary cast of Mom. Just look at which episodes they've starred in and you'll see it's pretty sporadic. If they were at any time regular cast members, they would appear in nearly every episode of a season, but they don't, not even close.

Spencer Daniels
Nathan Corddry
French Stewart
William Fichtner

And of course CBS.com agrees with me on this as well.

If you watch this show at all you know that these people have never been a part of the cast, they are just guest cast, and removing them from the cast is the right thing to do. There are currently 12 names there which is intuitively too many for a sitcom about a mom and daughter. Indeed there should only be 8.

Daniels, Corddry and Stewart were all main cast members in season one for sure, and made sporadic appearances as main cast since as I recall. I think I remember reading where Fichtner has been added to the main cast for next season.

I concede and admit my mistake on this one. I checked and indeed these names were listed as cast back in Season 1. In my defense they no longer appear in the official cast list now and they were never more than supporting characters at the time. But I admit it appears I made a mistake.

This is news to me. I suppose it's best to leave it alone for now, and if it turns out he isn't a primary cast member next season, we can revisit it then. Sorry for the error and thank you.
