There's no show relation between https://www.tvmaze.com/shows/18035/the-new-addams-family and the original. I tried to create one but it wouldn't allow it.

There's no reason for one unless

show that's closely related to an existing show; because they share a similar name and premise, (main) crew or cast members portraying the same character, cinematic universe, and/or a continous storyline. This relation only applies when the similarites are present for the majority of the show's run; an occasional "crossover episode" between two shows that otherwise share no similarities does not warrant creating a show relation.

Having the same characters appear in two shows does not make for a show relation, unless it's specifically stated that they are related or one of the many rules are met. In this case I would say it isn't or else we should be listing every marvel show to the first show they created back in the 50s.

Avalon on ABC is not going forward as a series. Can someone make the edit? Thanks!

This is a reboot. One is called The Addams Family and the other is called The New Addams Family. The titles are nearly identical and they have same characters just new cast members. And with more than 30 years apart from one another it's a different era. From the policy:

Reboot

A show with mostly the same characters as a previous show, remade for a different era

Examples:

"DuckTales 1987" vs "DuckTales 2017"
"Battlestar Galactica 1978" vs "Battlestar Galactica 2005"

If they rebooted a Marvel show from the 50s that should also have a reboot show relation.

No a reboot is when a network specifically calls a show that.
