The list isn't ambiguous, it's just presented like that.

Didn't we recently have discussion about one of the newer series where they listed cast like that (perhaps The Flash of Supergirl or something else, don't remember) and you told me if they're listed in the opening like that, then they are main cast even if they don't appear in every episode. Remember when I recently missed "Guest Cast" on some such opening credits. This is the same. All cast is credited in the opening with occasional Special Guest Star, but the others are on the level with main three which does make them "main" if the goal on this site is consistency.

It was "Superman & Lois" and there were obvious "Starring" and "Guest Starring" blocks of the on-screen credits, with corresponding headers on each block. And the list of main stars is corresponding with the press releases, there's no conflict between the sources.
If this is the same for you - I don't know what else to say.

Why would you now do opposite or go by website source and not how it's presented on the actual episodes?

Because in this case there's a conflict between the sources. There is no "Starring/Guest starring" separation on screen, but some of the actors are clearly recurring guest stars, at least according to press releases. I merely suggest a smart way to solve such conflicts, because there's a tendency of networks to be "creative" while crediting the actors. Or you can just blindly follow the policy and add everyone from the opening credits to the main cast. Either way is fine by me.

And also, that's how you marked main cast on other TV series that don't have a typical opening-credits that's same for every episode per season.

Which show are you talking about?

You're using different policies on different TV shows which only makes things inconsistent.

No, I'm most definitely not. But considering that there's no consistency between different shows and how those shows are presenting their cast on-screen and in press releases or official websites, sometimes you need to be smart and compare information from the different sources.

If Pellegrino who appears sporadically per episodes is the main cast, then some of the other who are much more prominent and appear in much more episodes and are credited on the same level should also be treated as main cast.

I can tell you just one thing about that: the separation between main and guest stars has absolutely nothing to do with the significance of the character or the number of its appearances.

Okay, let's not follow the policy blindly here. I'll leave it as is whether it's correct or not.

And in that case, please just remove Kristen Hager from the main cast, because she is credited under all other episodes as guest cast and we're not using her anywhere as the main cast so like this she just appears as double.

There is a language called 'Punjabi' which is misspelt here as 'Panjabi'.
