And while I agree they are the same show, does the fact that it airs in the US now, even though it aired a few years ago originally in the UK, make it worth keeping, if only for scheduling and tracking for US users who may not have had access to the series when it was released in the UK? As a person, I'd say no. As a character, yes.
The person using/voicing the puppet would then be credited.

I'm not sure how that is put together since it's an unencountered instance for me. So you're saying he should be removed and replaced with, according to wiki, (old) Ivan Owen and (current) Michael Winsor?

A character isn't shared across multiple shows, so you would need to create the character on each show they appeared in and then add them as cast or guest cast to the show(s).
As explained in our policy, if both actors portray the character in the same show (and the switch isn't part of the plot) you would only add 1 character (using the same character for each person).

According to https://www.amcpremiere.com it seems episodes of Preacher s4, The Terror s2, Lodge 49 s2, and Fear the Walking Dead s5 air 48 hours early on AMC Premiere, should we change them to AMC Premiere and use those airdates or keep the TV ones since it's just early releases and not all at once?

If it is only for 3 eps of the season, we do not change it, if it is the majority or eps we would need to change it according.

For FTWD it started around episode 6 I think. But now every new episode of every AMC show gets an early premiere on AMC Premiere service 48 hours before broadcast. And I suppose Lodge 49 s2 will be binge released, same as s1.
On the other hand, "48 hours early" sounds king of vague, and there's no fixed public schedule of AMC Premiere releases, at least not that I know of.

Hmm, we should make a decision then how we deal with all those AMC shows.

Lodge 49 is already assigned to AMC Premiere, because of the binge release. Someone already jumped the gun with the season 2 weekly dates, but we'll know for sure in a week or so.
However, I'd leave the weekly series as they are, assigned to AMC and scheduled on the same weekdays they are promoted an AMC's website (Sunday @9/8C, Monday @9/8C etc.)
