Omar Maskati is an American actor. He was born on September 19, 1989 in Edison, New Jersey to a Marathi Indian father and a Puerto Rican mother. His father is Muslim and his mother is Catholic, and he considers himself both Muslim and Catholic. He graduated as salutatorian from Edison High School in 2007. In 2011, he received a degree in Engineering from University of Pennsylvania, where he also minored in Theater Arts and was a member of the Mask and Wig Club. He chose acting as a career after graduation.
Omar got his professional start Off-Broadway in the Pulitzer-prize winning play Disgraced, and has proceeded to work on both stage and screen in a variety of roles. He won the Best Actor award at SeriesFest 2019 for his leading role in the independent pilot Revenge Tour, which was written by his brother, writer/rapper Kahlil "K-Swish" Maskati. The pilot, which Omar also helped produce, screened at SXSW and the LA Film Festival--among others--winning awards at each. He also won the Best Actor award at MISAFF 2021 for his portrayal of twin brothers Aydin and Zayn in Jaraad Virani's feature film Sand & Snow.
On television, Omar is best known for his recurring roles on FX's Tyrant (2015), AMC's Better Call Saul (2016), ABC's Time After Time (2017), Netflix's Unbelievable (2019), Paramount Network's 68 Whiskey (2020), Amazon Prime Video's As We See It (2022), CBS's Good Sam (2022), and Netflix's The Recruit (2025).
