Chris O'Dowd is an Irish actor, comedian, writer, and producer, born on October 9, 1979, in Boyle, County Roscommon, Ireland.
O'Dowd is best known for portraying Roy Trenneman in the comedy series The IT Crowd. He also created and starred in Moone Boy and has appeared in television series including Girls, Family Tree, The Big Door Prize, and Small Town, Big Story.
His film credits include Bridesmaids, The Sapphires, This Is 40, Calvary, and St. Vincent. O'Dowd has also worked on stage and received a Tony Award nomination for his Broadway performance in Of Mice and Men.
