Born in Lisburn, North Ireland, but raised in North-East England, Ray Stevenson attended art school and worked as an interior designer. After seeing John Malkovich in play at the West End, he enrolled in the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, making his stage debut prior to his graduation in 1993. His 1994 television debut was as Matthew Turnbull in the mini-series The Dwelling Place, and his film debut was in The Theory Of Flight in 1998.
George Raymond Stevenson died just days before his 59th birthday, no cause of death was released.
