Antoinette Bower, the German-born British actress renowned for her appearances in The Twilight Zone's Adam & Eve-themed episode and as the alluring alien Sylvia in a Star Trek installment, has passed away at the age of 93. Bower died on April 30 at a senior retirement home in Eagle Rock, Los Angeles. Her friend, Carlotta Glackin, who is the great-niece of the renowned Golden Age character actor Edward Everett Horton, confirmed her passing to The Hollywood Reporter. In her film career, Bower was prominently featured in the horror movie Superbeast (1972), shot in the Philippines. She also starred as Leslie Nielsen's wife and Jamie Lee Curtis's mother in the slasher classic Prom Night (1980) and was kidnapped by Charles Bronson in the action thriller The Evil That Men Do (1984). Over three seasons from 1989 to 1992, she played the recurring role of Fox Devlin, a companion to Winston Rekert's character Dr. Michael Terry, on the Canadian television drama Neon Rider. The show was set on a ranch in British Columbia and focused on helping troubled and abused teenagers. In the early 1960s, she traveled to L.A. and decided to stay after securing an uncredited role in Marlon Brando's Mutiny on the Bounty (1962). She also made guest appearances on shows like Adventures in Paradise, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Hong Kong, Wagon Train, Thriller, Hawaiian Eye, and Perry Mason.
