Maja Vrvilo is a television director and editor. She was born and raised in Croatia (then part of the former Yugoslavia) and received a diploma in Film Editing at the University of Zagreb in 1992. She worked as film editor on various student short films during her studies. In 1995, she relocated to the United States and received a Master's Diploma in Film Editing at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles in 1998.
She worked as film editor mostly in television, editing several episodes of The Agency, Cold Case, and the 2010 reboot of Hawaii Five-0.
She turned to directing in 2015, and since then, helmed episodes of series such as CSI: Cyber, Person of Interest, Elementary, Prison Break, Lethal Weapon, Gotham, Titans, the aforementioned Hawaii Five-0, the reboots of MacGyver, Magnum P.I., and S.W.A.T., and Alex Kurtzman's Clarice.
She also directed several episodes of Star Trek: Discovery, Star Trek: Short Treks, Star Trek: Picard, and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.
