So you're argument is that they're wrong about listing other shows, therefore it follows that they're wrong about listing their own shows? Come on. It's a Netflix original. If they list the episode as Season 2 Episode 1 then that's what it is.

By the way, they listed the other Sense8 special as a special so they indeed have a concept of specials in their system.

If you're on about Sense8: Creating the World then the Netflix website doesn't explicitly mark it as a special as part of the tv series; what they've done is create a new entry and classified it as a film (it has no episode numbering) but assigned the genres to be TV.

You can see it under the details tab where it says This film is... as opposed to This programme is...

Also as David said, season 2 will start on May 5th 2017. You can see the data on their press/media site:

Please do create a new thread if you don't agree with it again as other edit requests are easy to be overlooked (it's not a thread to discuss, but solely to request changes in editing. This counts for everyone.), but an official site is not a press release. I think we have told you this when you previously asked about those series of Hallmark. Netflix's press release considers it to be a special.

There are two specials for "The Great British Bake Off," one on December 25 and one on December 26. They are specials as part of that TV series.
