I would suggest we always use the date, I know someone is working on those daytime shows, but its aloooooooot of work.

I prefer the Ep. # as the other series are the ep number. I have been updating them as I add a cast list and someone went back and changed a whole month back.

Ok, let us get some common ground :)

Exactly which 4 daily dramas are we talking about?

Then I can check how those 4 are dealt with right now.
I know you and one other guy are heavily working on those. :)

cheers
Juan

Using the date is a Bad idea as I have found some shows sometimes air 2 or more episodes in the same day. This is especially true on News and News type programs that do not have episode titles. Do you want it to look like this?

31 December 2016

31 December 2016

31 December 2016

My opinion is it looks bad and makes no sense. Not sure about Soaps or daytime shows I'm pretty sure it was not me however I have been doing that with News type shows especially ones with 2 or more new episodes airing daily. A very good example of this is "Erin Burnett OutFront" it constantly changes some days 1, some days 2 New episodes sometimes 1 episode 180 minutes long. I can provide a long list if anyone needs it to prove my point more, that was just the one I had in my head at this time. The next 2 weeks there are all just 1 per day but they have changed constantly and I assume they will continue doing that in the future as well?

That is a good point, if two episodes air the same day, so I am also more on the side of numbering, if I look at it this way, but I like to wait till jcar replies and tells us what 4 shows this is about.

All fixed.

I thought you were going to wait? Anyways that show Days of Our Lives is a MESS as it is one way then the other then back again. By Date, then by Episode #, then by Date no consistency there?

On a somewhat similar situation on the daily shows and their names, what about daily shows that are not being updated on an ongoing manner? Can I add in episodes that I've watched and not worry about missing shows? Specifically I'm thinking Innerspace, Daily Planet, Power & Politics up here in the land of the frozen chosen. And as an example of my question, I miss Mon, Tue & Thu shows but see Wed & Fri ... there are no entries for the week ... can I add in the two shows I saw with the details and not worry about the missing episodes? Any guidance appreciated.

One guy is working on that show, but it is taking some time with all those episodes.

yes you can do that, just be careful if the show numbers their episodes, that you omit the numbers for the episodes you do not add.

I hope they make them all Episode #'s and not dates per our earlier discussion? When someone wants to do others they should follow the same format all the way with Episode #'s not dates I hope for consistency throughout the site. It will take many months to clean them all up but maybe we will find someone that will volunteer to fix 1 or more of them, to help the site out anyways?

While adding people to the cast that are mentioned in the credits (the show has an opening sequence with the instrumental theme song followed by cast credits that appear over the episode footage, then guest stars are shown at the end in a complete cast list), I noticed Miranda Hart is listed twice. Her character is Chummy Browne and eventually she gets married, but she's not playing a completely new person. There's a similar situation with with Laura Main, she plays Sister Bernadette originally but she changes her name back to Shelagh after she leaves the convent. Should there be two separate entries for the same character just because the character changes names?

Mpho Koaho and Fiona Dourif should be removed from this episode.

Everybody should be removed from this except for Elijah Wood, Samuel Barnett, and Jade Eshete. Those are the only three cast members that are in this episode.

Somebody added these episodes again as normal episode even though they're compilation specials and still listed in the specials section.
