Wouldn't that be correct not to be merged and to remain two separate characters? She was just 'Priyanka Chopra' when she appeared in 2016, married Nick Jonas in 2018, and now in this upcoming appearance, she is 'Priyanka Chopra Jonas'.

I only requested these characters to be merged because the policy states that :
If the same Character appears on a show multiple times with different credited names, only one Character entry should be created and an AKA (alias) with the secondary name can be added.
Since Priyanka is the same person and is in a same position (a presenter), I thought merging these character would the correct thing to do. Also, if we were to separate Priyanka's credits then it would also need to done in some other cases such as Salma Hayek, who is a single character, even though the academy lists her as Salma Hayek Pinault in the 2023 ceremony.

No, she appears as herself both times and this is her name. You can add former names to the AKAs list.

When I try and create it I get the following:
IMDB ID "tt35466672" has already been taken.
Thetvdb ID "457779" has already been taken.
Even though it has not been taken.
This is a new mini series separate from the original Malcolm in The Middle (someone has added the new mini series as season 8. This needs removing. Season 7 was the series finale).
Malcolm in The Middle: Life's Still Unfair, will be on HULU airing April 10th 2026. 4 episodes. Comedy

Yeah we've been going a bit back and forth on whether it's a continuation of the old show or a new show, so the external id's are probably tied up in a rejected request or two

Profile pics should preferably be headshots. The one you took from his IG account is not suitable. I added several photos and I updated his profile pic. Feel free to change the profile pic if you find another photo more preferable or let me know and I can change it for you. :)
