For season 9, they took a whole renovation or sometimes a season (some seasons focused on one house, some on multiple houses) and condensed it down to one 60-minute highlight episode per house. I'm not sure if these should be deleted or not because HGTV says it's a new season, but nothing new is added because they're basically recaps for each project and aren't even in chronological order (episode 1 took place in season 8, episode 4 took place in season 1, etc etc)

The policy explains this scenario:

"Episodes that consist merely of footage duplicated from other episodes (such as trailers, previews, sneak peeks, clip shows) are only allowed when their length is the same as of a regular episode."

Seems like it's valid to me.

So, they should stay? The regular episodes are 30 minutes though, not 60.

Just to prove your point: production company already have a synopsis for season 2 http://weitmedia.com/most (in Russian)

UPD lol. It actually already aired on KTK channel in Kazakhstan, from January 16 to January 24, and episodes could be found on the web.

Is this a company related to the production and the show changed to it, or should the episodes just be without airdates for now?

Not sure if they affiliated, rather not I think. Anyways, I couldn't find a definite proof of those airdates yet, so probably blank airdates for now...

Hmm, on Netflix itself this documentary is from the year 2018 - https://www.netflix.com/title/81002216. Why then do we have the premiere and 2020? It’s strange. Or is it another documentary? There is still some kind of documentary on TVDB from 2020 - https://www.thetvdb.com/series/the-lost-unabomber-tapes - isn't it the same, just with a different breakdown of the episodes, 2х90 vs. 4х45?

I sadly got no knowledge about this show, but it looks indeed suspicious.

I thought it's kind of obvious, because it's premiered on Netflix today, February 22. Probably production started back in 2018, who knows...

I can't say if it's the same or not. Both about Kaczynski, that's for sure. Why don't you watch both and tell us, are they the same or not? ;)

But if you look at the card of any other Netflix series of 2020, it will indicate that the release is 2020.

For example:

1. https://www.tvmaze.com/shows/37883/locke-key

2. https://www.tvmaze.com/shows/38396/aj-and-the-queen

3. https://www.tvmaze.com/shows/46002/night-on-earth (also, by the way, a documentary).

And this documentary has the same place in the same card - 2018. Does this bother you? :)

Alas, but I pass. I have already overdosed similar documentaries, I’ve watched a dozen from the beginning of the year :) And the Unabomber theme is not at all interesting, especially since even before the second season Manhunt partially reviewed the first season, just about it.

And by the way, in that link that you brought (https://www.whats-on-netflix.com/coming-soon/whats-coming-to-netflix-in-february-2020-02-20/) after the name of this documentary is NOT a red letter N. Can we conclude from here that this is NOT a Netflix documentary, but they just bought it, and therefore it would be necessary to change both the channel and the premiere date? I honestly don’t know.

Did you look at literally any of them? What about last year? Or year before?

No, it does not. I've seen that before, more than once. Hell, I've seen weirder things :)
But of course you could always write a letter to Netflix media relations and ask them for an explanation.

Well, let's wait than until someone watches both and gives a conclusion.

Fine by me, as soon as you or anyone else will present any official press release or other proof, that show actually premiered somewhere in 2018. Share it with us and we'll gladly change the show's properties according to new data. I know two things for sure: the show premiered on Netflix on 2020-02-22 and next will be premiering on Discovery Canada on 2020-02-28, @08:00PM. Feel free to do a research and find any earlier airdates, and it will be considered of course.
