Technically, she plays 1 character (Ruth Clayton) with a hidden identity (The Doctor). However, the reveal of The Doctor is a HUGE spoiler for the episode that some commenters are even pointing out. Since the majority of the episode has her referenced as Ruth Clayton, should the credit as "The Doctor" come down?

So technically you are saying that Ruth Clayton and The Doctor are a single role? I know it may be kinda spoilery, but the credit is solid if they are two different characters, but perhaps @tnt can enlighten us about his decision for adding it so. I'm not familiar with the show itself.

Though i'd strongly suggest to always stay away from episodes on tvmaze before watching it to avoid any spoiler at all.

IIRC, the credits had her as "Ruth Clayton" and then at the end it had "introducing Jo Martin as The Doctor" BUT they are not two different characters. "Ruth Clayton" was a false identity embedded in her version of the Doctor's brain as a way to hide from somebody trying to capture her.

If it were up to me, I'd leave The Doctor and put Ruth as an AKA for that version (since we don't have one "The Doctor" character, they're added with numbers which isn't how they're credited on screen though... but that's another matter) since The Doctor is the more important character. If somebody's looking at specific content for an episode before actually watching it, it's their own fault for not avoiding spoilers. :P

It's not my decision per se, but rather the one of the show's creators. Jo Martin specifically listed twice in episode credits https://i.imgur.com/vcDDsVf.jpg

I don't see a point to deviate from on-screen credits, so I've listed both her appearances exactly as they were credited on-screen.

Though i'd strongly suggest to always stay away from episodes on tvmaze before watching it to avoid any spoiler at all.

Cosmos S2 (Possible Worlds) has only 13 episodes instead of 14 and the first episode isn't titled "Possible Worlds" but instead it is "Ladder to the Stars".

Can someone fix this please, because the new season starts in a couple of days.
