ABC saw the return of Stumptown and Emergence last week. Stumptown lost a tenth while Emergence was steady. Neither show is likely to see January. Mixed-ish bounced back, gaining a tenth as did American Housewife and Single Parents. The Rookie lost a tenth, and fans might want to start worrying.

CBS enjoyed an NFL overrun to kickstart its Sunday night programming last week, 60 Minutes saw the best returns, God Friended Me was up a tenth while Madam Secretary was even with the previous week. Ten years along, and Hawaii Five-0 still pulls in decent numbers, even though it's a Friday night show. Magnum PI has been consistent, though on the low side, it's not in any danger however. SWAT may be a different story. Even for a show in the magic third season, its numbers are getting worrisome.

NBC had a quiet week. This Is Us was down two tenths. New Amsterdam and Superstore each lost a tenth. The Blacklist gained a tenth as did Law & Order: SVU. Even though it managed to gain a tenth from the previous week, Perfect Harmony is likely playing out the side at this point.

FOX sat back and let the ratings bonanza continue. The network execs should write thank-you cards to the Astros and Nationals for taking the World Series to seven games. 9-1-1 lost a couple of tenths while Prodigal Son was even.

The CW's numbers are drifting into embarrassing at this point. The Flash and Batwoman held steady, each even gaining 100,000 viewers from the previous week. The same can't be said for many of its other shows. Fans of Nancy Drew rewarded the show's episode extension by dropping 100,000 viewers and a tenth of a rating point. Black Lightning has been declining steadily the last season and a half. Late summer series, Mysteries Decoded ran its finale Hallowe'en night to low numbers, while Dynasty couldn't even manage 400,000 total viewers.

This ho-hum of a fall season is almost at a end. Holiday programming will be the order of the day in a few weeks, and then the Winter/Spring premieres will start. What new shows are you still waiting for?

Good grades.
LadyShelley, thank you for the encouraging clarification. Let's hope for the best, the last Rookie's episode was very good.
@zlogorek, if there is any hope for Rookie fans it's this, Emergence has already been basically cancelled, it did not get any episode extensions. So that does leave a possible hole in the schedule The Rookie can fill. If it does squeak a third season, it's basically guaranteed a fourth, to up the episode count. All is not lost, yet, but the show can't afford to lose any more viewers.
"The Rookie", why? :(
