Ratings Roundup for the Week of November 3, 2019

ABC announced last week that Fresh Off The Boat would end with the current season. Not much of a surprise, numbers for the show were low even by Friday standards. Emergence is also cancelled, it did not receive an episode order extension, so fans should enjoy the remaining episodes. Stumptown did receive an episode extension, but it's chances of renewal are still iffy.

CBS had a quiet week. NCIS dropped a couple of tenths from its last new episode, but is in no danger. Likewise, both NCIS: Los Angeles and NCIS: New Orleans should see easy renewals. CBS execs might be thinking they were a bit quick with that renewal of Evil, its numbers have been slipping for the past few weeks. Bob (Hearts) Abishola lost a tenth as did All Rise.

NBC saw most of its shows lose a bit of ground last week. Chicago Med, Fire, and PD were all down a tenth, as was New Amsterdam. Superstore, which earned a few extra episodes for the season, and The Blacklist were both steady. I have not found any information on an episode extension for Perfect Harmony, so it's likely cancelled.

FOX returned to the real world last week as the sports-related ratings bonanza ended. Almost Family did not receive any sort of episode extension and is done. Enjoy what's left of it. The Masked Singer continues to be a ratings winner for the network while 9-1-1 and Prodigal Son were both steady.

The CW saw Arrow slip to its worst numbers to date, losing not only a tenth of a rating point, but 200,000 viewers. Supernatural returned from a week off about even with its last new episode. The Flash and Batwoman were steady ratings-wise, though The Flash shed 300,000 viewers from the previous week. Charmed slipped a rating tenth to join the 0.1 club along with Nancy Drew and Dynasty.

All of the decisions have been made for the Fall shows regarding additional episodes. Did you favorites survive the first half of the the season?

Emergence being cancelled sucks. I enjoyed it more than Manifest (which I feel showed the tip of the iceberg or more like a dust speck of the iceberg on the mystery front).

This article seems more hopeful regarding the future of Emergence: https://deadline.com/2019/10/mixed-ish-stumptown-the-rookie-back-orders-abc-emergence-remains-renewal-contention-bless-this-mess-1202770143/

It seems there are quite a few people who agree with you. :) Chances are though, the show will be renewed as The CW is basically now a dumping ground for CBS and Warner content.

"Nancy Drew" was decisively ruined by all that paranormal bullshit. :(
