Episode Discussion

It had been a while since I'd read any of the Expanse books, so I started re-reading just to check. The first ep of the show covers just the first five chapters of the first book in the Expanse series, and pretty faithfully. There are five more books after the first one, plus a few novellas, and some short stories, so there's plenty more source material to draw from before they might need to go off on their own.

The show could have done a better job making the locations clear and distinct from each other, I think, but overall I was really impressed.

Not a bad pilot at all, especially the ending.

Looking forward to more of this show and seeing where they're going to take it.

This is depressing multi-layered sci-fi, really did not expect that, but I loved the pilot!
