Wil Wheaton was born Richard William Wheaton III in Burbank, California. He first gained international attention by starring in the Rob Reiner comedy-drama film Stand by Me, and then played Wesley Crusher on Star Trek: The Next Generation. Wheaton left the Hollywood scene for 18 months to pursue personal video production, although he did return to Star Trek: TNG every now and then for an occasional episode. He then returned to Los Angeles, California, attended acting school for five years and now works on many projects. He lives in Arcadia, California with his wife Anne and their two sons.
