Born in Englewood New Jersey, John Aprea attended his first audition at the age of 23, enrolled in acting classes and worked night jobs in New York before heading to Los Angeles. He made his film debut as Dr. Kinner in the 1968 classic Bullitt, and picked up a minor role in a 1969 episode of That Girl. In 1974 he earned the role of a young Salvatore Tessio in The Godfather Part Two, which he referred to as the 'high point' of his career.
John Aprea died of natural causes at the age of 83.
