Beau flees St. Joe in search of the missing Flo. He finds her in a New Mexico hamlet where she is adored as the town's first school teacher. The citizens are unaware of Flo's dance hall background. Flo likes her new life and is reluctant to admit her guilt in the murder. She is faced with a cruel decision when Luke shows up with plans to kill the innocent Beau.
