BBC One show coming to streaming service Acorn TV after the end of season. Is this an example of where Alternate list for streaming can be utilized? I am talking about Acorn TV in North America. Alt stream or Alt country? Sorry but I'm not clear on this. Thanks.

BBC stream their shows on iPlayer directly after the TV broadcast so it wouldn't be a streaming premiere. Acorn TV is a global web channel so I don't think the site would let you add it as a country premiere?

Correct as Acorn is global it wouldnt be possible to setup an alternate list on this occasion.

Thanks for the info.  So other shows that premier on say broadcast tv in Ireland, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, for example; that don't have a streaming arm but eventually are available on AcornTV or BritBox US might qualify for alternate streaming list?

I think I'm not getting the 'Global' thing. (I could swear that some (long) time ago on TVMaze, some large global streamers had separate entries depending on avail viewer countries) Like Netflix is global but a show can be added/available at different times depending on if viewer is in US or UK or where-ever.  I guess my ms outlook calendar with color coding for streaming services will do the trick.  ;)

No what @CosmicHowl was referring to was that what you proposed wouldn't be a streaming premiere since iPlayer episodes are simulcast as programmes begin. If ITV show Doc Martin and make the episode available on ITV hub that's then the streaming premiere.

Maze has never regionalised a global web channel. If Netflix are in multiple territories then its a global web channel. If BBC suddenly decided to rebrand all their streaming services around the world to iPlayer then iPlayer would become a global streamer and the regional version would merge into that.

2 more requests again...

1. So the poster without all the season-specific text was finally put up for The Masked Singer- could the main image be changed to this, please?

2. ABC website has updated their poster for Shark Tank- could the main image here be changed to this?

Thanks again!

There should be some way we could still do country premiere even if it's a global streaming service, since those services will license shows for release outside of the origin country, like Derry Girls on Netflix for example. Just add a new menu box that only shows when you do a global service and you have to specify which country again for it to register. Maybe that's not possible coding wise, but that's the thought I had.

It's been mentioned in the past but it took us long enough to get alternate lists. I think feasibly it's difficult to keep track of as well what if 'Derry Girls' expires on Netflix and then Hulu pick it up in America but the Singapore Netflix still carry the rights on for example. @david can probably provide a better answer then me to this though to be honest.

Well in a lot of cases like with Derry Girls or other acquisitions, they're often billed as "Netflix Original" and sometimes are co-produced so they'd never end up on anything else. It'd be different if it's just a series like Miranda where it was sold to US in general and multiple places have it.
