Both pilots was rejected by CW and the shows were removed from TVmaze 3 weeks ago. Are they revived or just added by mistake?

Just checked with Futon. Both series are still on the books as "currently in development" ...

Not 100% on who is accurate, who isn't and what source has higher level of confidence.

Ich weiß nicht. But this situation is another reason I think even DOA/Passed shows should be left in the database for information purposes.

I suppose their chances are probably pretty low at this point, but it seems there is still a pulse.

yeh the chance seems slow but they do not seen to be off the grid completely right now.

Personally, I don't think keeping every dropped show around for info is a good idea. There's just too many of them, information for in development pilots is often scarce, incomplete, or things happen behind the scenes (cast changes, title changes, character name changes) - we could never verify the accuracy of the information. Plus the data policy is pretty explicit about the criteria that have to be met to justify a listing. You'd end up with masses of half empty show pages, actors pages would be filled with stuff nobody is ever going to see/watch. Honestly, I get it, the desire to keep information is strong, but I just don't think it belongs here.

Also, isn't this the reason we have a delay on the deletion of shows in the first place? So that things can be un-deleted if there's conflicting info and kept until such time when we know for sure.

I agree that deeper details on passed on shows can be either missing, incomplete or inaccurate. A way around that would be that once a shows status is changed to "Passed On" (or whatever phrase is selected) the system is designed to flush all data other than tombstone info ... name, network, summary. It just seems a shame we have the data already encoded and in the database and we flush it away. ymmv

Policy is just that ... policy. If TPtB could be convinced to keep the info, they'd simply change the policy to confirm to the new rules.

If you're wanting to discuss in development shows in general, I suggest that a new thread is created so that we can keep this one to the intended usage.

But then... if you flushed all the info except name/network/summary... what exactly would be the point of keeping it? What would be served by say, knowing that 5 years Network X had a show named ABCDE, and it was going to maybe be about asdfghjkl (etc).? I get it, I hate discarding info too, it's just... honestly I don't (personally) see what the point of that would be, other than to just hoard info. Obviously the policy would change if this went forward, I understand that, like I say I just don't think it's good idea.

@gazza - I mean, I'm done, I've said my bit. I won't be saying anymore.

I won't be even speaking of futon... )))

Considering that all articles at HR were written by the same person, and https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/tv-pilots-2018-complete-guide-1076193 is continuously updated, I suppose the fate of those shows is decided.

But the other links from HR are later than the one you note, or is the one you note updated but the time stamp (January 22, 2018 5:15am PT by Lesley Goldberg) never altered? That's a bit confusing then trying to track what info is the most recent.

The date is from when the article was first created. Since it contain links to both articles you've mentioned, it could not be written before them, obviously )))
