Title should be changed to just "Junior Doctors", and broadcaster (locked) should be Web Channel (not Network) BBC Three.

"Gareth Malone's Great Choir Reunion" is listed as season 8 of "The Choir", and also incorrectly as a separate series.

"The Choir: Gareth's Best in Britain" is also listed as a separate series, instead of season 9 of "The Choir". The BBC does list it as a separate series.

I've read the policy on Continuations/reboots, and it's not clear to me whether these should be combined.

tvholic wrote 7 years ago: 1

Going back to "Junior Doctors", and now that I've studied the site policy on Continuations/reboots, season 4 should probably be season 1 of a new series called "Junior Doctors: Blood, Sweat and Tears", and the existing series should revert to "Junior Doctors: Your Life in Their Hands":

http://www.tvmaze.com/shows/4426/junior-doctors

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b013fdbd
http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p05hvpv1

And there are lots of other shows that are incorrectly combined according to that policy. For example, "Australian Survivor" should be a series which ran a single season on Nine Network. Season 2's episodes should be deleted because they belong to the series "Celebrity Survivor" (which already exists), and seasons 3 and 4 should be seasons 1 and 2 of a separate series on Network Ten because Ten starts their numbering at season 1 and never refers to earlier seasons:

http://www.tvmaze.com/shows/6796/australian-survivor
http://www.tvmaze.com/shows/6799/celebrity-survivor

http://tenplay.com.au/channel-ten/australian-survivor

I could identify many other similar examples, but that's a whole other topic. The policy is clear, but in practice things are inconsistent.

Then there's "The NEW Celebrity Apprentice", which ran for 7 seasons called "The Celebrity Apprentice", but season 8 sort of (but not so much) used a different title and you changed the name of the existing series to match:

http://www.tvmaze.com/shows/292/the-new-celebrity-apprentice

https://www.nbc.com/the-celebrity-apprentice

So maybe that's what should happen to "Junior Doctors". Or maybe (probably) it shouldn't have happened to "The Celebrity Apprentice". I can't find a policy on that.

Nice catch, it is deleted now :)

Could you open a new thread for those things, so we can discuss it there ?

In here it will get messi with all the requests coming in :)

Maybe I digressed too much looking at precedents, but the request at hand is that, if I read the site policy correctly, then season 4 of "Junior Doctors" should be deleted (and then created as a new series), and the title reverted. Also, "Australian Survivor" should be split into multiple series. In both cases, the reason being that the networks reset the season / series numbering back to 1.

Hi there

The episodes for "You're The Worst" are mis-numbered and mis-labelled. It's skipped episode 2 "It's Been-Part 2" and thus has thrown the episode number off by 1. Currently it says the last episode was episode 7, but it should be 8 per FXX website.

Thanks

Do you know if the first two episodes aired as one? That's probably the reason. From the FAQ:

Two-part episodes can cause contention on whether they should take up a single episode number, or two separate consecutive episode numbers. If this happens, refer to the order of the valid sources as listed above and note that on-screen indicators are considered the primary official source and trump anything else. A few examples:

If the two parts air on two separate days, two separate episodes should be created.
If there is a break between the two parts, two separate episodes should be created. Examples of a break are credits or titles appearing on screen for a second time; or a voice-over introducing the second part.
If there are separate titles (even if the only distinction is "Part 1" versus "Part 2") for the two parts, two separate episodes should be created.
If there are separate cast- or crew-credits for the two parts, two separate episodes should be created.

In all other cases, it should almost definitely be a single entry/episode number. Only if on-screen indicators are unavailable or inconclusive, the other valid sources should be considered in their respective order. Note that DVD numbering should never be considered. Production codes as found on official sites or in press releases can be used as an indicator, but specifically do not trump the on-screen indicators listed above.

The recent 'Hunt for Extraterrestrials' shows listed below I would say are misplaced.

https://www.tvmaze.com/shows/612/expedition-unknown/episodes

It is a spin off show with the 'Expedition Unknown' name attached to them and not a continuation of Season 3.

The official site lists them as their own season.

http://www.travelchannel.com/shows/expedition-unknown-hunt-for-extra-terrestrials/episodes

Maybe they should be labelled as specials?

"It's Been" aired as a 1-hour episode, although FXX split it into 2 parts on their web site. I just corrected the runtime field for it.
