I think a name match together with a year match should work. What are the chances that imdb(show_name, year) === tvmaze(show_name, year) but that they are two entirely different shows, each only appearing on one site and not the other.

Can ever take it further and try matching cast and crew, but that is a more extreme solution.

could you please add a link of the show for each ID ?

if the show is in our database, you can look it up by id. search "tvdb ###" of "imdb ###"

if not, look for it here https://www.tvmaze.com/request/rejected

...this is a mystery alright, and that covers it more correctly than word "crime" which may be misleading.

However, this isn't typical Veronica Mars kind of mystery and actually has many supernatural elements, especially in season 2 so that should definitely be one of the genres selected.
