Michael Kelly is an American actor, born on May 22, 1969, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Raised in Lawrenceville, Georgia, he studied at Coastal Carolina University, where an acting course led him to pursue a career in performance.
Kelly is best known for portraying Doug Stamper in the Netflix political drama House of Cards, a role that earned him multiple Primetime Emmy Award nominations. His other prominent television credits include Person of Interest, Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior, Jack Ryan, Lioness, and The Penguin, in which he played Johnny Viti.
