If the season doesn't have some properties, like year/month of premiere, episode order or summary, it gets deleted automatically. Since none of those are known yet, there's no reason to create an empty season.

That's what I was wondering about as I had already added it. There isn't really an explicit rule on this, just on TBA episodes.
Netflix renewing shows without any further information is kind of becoming a trend (same for Dark), so I'm not convinced that auto-deletion is the way to go.
Maybe add a sentence to the data policies or change this? Otherwise these seasons might pop up again only to disappear a few more times :)

Not being able to specify that a show have been renewed is a pretty big hole in the feature list in my book.

I totally agree with this!

It's not about the policy, the thing is purely technical. It's just how the system works, for now at least. Anyway, the empty season really doesn't informative in any way, and it's not shown anywhere. You wouldn't see it unless you know exactly what to look for. So changing the show's status to Running should be enough, until at least the year of the return is known.

I understood that part.
It's just that at least putting out the information on auto-deletion might save a few users the frustrating experience of seeing their addition deleted and not knowing why.

As soon as an episode date is confirmed everyone will see it as Running, returning in 2019 for example :)

The point is available information is being removed because it's not being presented properly anywhere at the moment. The better way would be to improve on using the information instead of removing it.

Especially now with shows renewed in the winter season you rarely ever get a episode count or return period as the pilot season haven't happened yet.

A lot of these shows are shorter fall shows that tend to be on the bubble, so information about them being renewed, however sparse, should be documented somewhere on the site in my opinion.

Yes, I agree and hopefully this will be improved in the future.

The show has been canceled by TNT but is being shopped to other networks/platforms ... I changed the status to TBD rather than ended ... I assume this is the correct move until the show either moves elsewhere or the producer gives up and lets it go quietly into the night

Odds are about 90 - 10 the show is just canceled. I'd love to be wrong though. : )

Agreed. These shop 'em elsewhere attempts rarely work ... but there are exceptions to keep hope alive.

http://www.tvmaze.com/shows/916/ridiculousness/episodes

Ridiculousness season 10 seems to be numbered wrong according to Google and the numbered shows I downloaded to watch.

The episode labeled Season 10 episode 11 "Big Black's Biggest & Best" I believe should be in Specials. Number 12 through 20 should be 11 through 19 and a missing episode with guest Mike Posner should be episode 20. Episodes 1-10 and 21-30 appear correct. Thanks.
