While it's pretty common for the main stars to be listed in the opening title sequence, but not appear in the episode, guest cast is different. And it's fairly rare when a guest star is credited on-screen, but not appearing in the episode. In any case, such occurrences should not be removed, but changed to "Credit Only".

AFAIK there's no easy "merge" for channels, all shows have to be processed individually.

Not always.
Disney shows are usually available for online streaming before the episode airs on TV. Usually this is the same day at 00:01 local time but with new show premieres it is common to be many days in advance. But some shows air on TV first or simultaneously. For example this is the first season that Andi Mack episodes are available online local time at the same time that it airs on TV. But only one episode has aired so far this season so we'll have to wait and see if this pattern keeps up. On previous seasons it usually premiered on the app before being shown on TV, and I believe the dates shown match that.
