Not always.

Disney shows are usually available for online streaming before the episode airs on TV. Usually this is the same day at 00:01 local time but with new show premieres it is common to be many days in advance. But some shows air on TV first or simultaneously. For example this is the first season that Andi Mack episodes are available online local time at the same time that it airs on TV. But only one episode has aired so far this season so we'll have to wait and see if this pattern keeps up. On previous seasons it usually premiered on the app before being shown on TV, and I believe the dates shown match that.

I was asking because most of the shows listed for the old Disney web channels have both network and web channel, which is allowed only if the episodes are released simultaneously on both sources.

It'd be nice, if someone familiar with Disney content could check those shows :)

Not really, 15 minutes or so :)

It raised the question though, are all of those shows really simulcasted on broadcast and web, I mean are they released simultaneously on both sources?

I highly doubt it. I usually delete one of them on requests.

'tis done. Usually Wikipedia and/or Zap2it aren't the most reliable for data but since this show has been renewed for a second and third season, obviously more episodes are coming ... hope they got it right this time. If you see changes or more episodes, please feel free to add or adjust or if need be another post here. Thanks for helping keep the data fresh & accurate! :)

I'll take care of the shows I'm most familiar with. But in most cases it airs on both the network and the web channel on the same day at least.

Here is one that needs an admin. Please change the Default Airtime to 00:01. Thanks :)

Is the stream day still Friday (Saturday just past midnight)?

dpratt wrote 6 years ago: 1

First the show is made available on the web channel on Friday morning at 12:01 am local time. Then later that same day (still Friday) it airs on television.

Here's what the policy says: Shows should have either a network or a web channel set; having both is very rare and only correct if episodes premiere exactly simultaneously on a TV network as well as a web channel.

I suppose "on the same day" doesn't cut it. So every show that doesn't fit the description need to be set to a single source.

Then the day should be changed to Thursday. Everything aired before 5:00 AM considered part of the previous day. Again, from the policy: For example, if an episode airs after midnight between Monday the 1st and Tuesday the 2nd, the airdate should be set to the 1st; even though technically the proper date would be the 2nd.

Is DisneyNOW considered a US-only, or it's global?

We agree. My only hesitation is that sometimes these shows do air exactly simultaneously and it's hard to know because it's hard to find press releases for web channel airtimes. So I'd rather err on the side of caution and have them both if there is any uncertainty about what time the web channel aired the episode. (Airtimes on the web channel are also local times, not based on a single time zone like some other web channels. So when shows air exactly simultaneously as it does on TV, it is simultaneous in the local timezone.)

I don't like that at all but indeed that's what the policy states.

I assume that access is limited or non-existent to outside countries and that other countries have their own separate Disney web channels that feature different programming. It's hard for me to verify this though seeing as I am inside the US.

This article suggests that you need an American cable subscription and an American IP address to sign in:

I've changed it to 00:01, Thursdays, according to what we've discussed above.

Maybe it wouldn't let them add it because of all the episodes that had to be removed that were added with each segment being listed as an individual episode?

I think that's what happened and, likely, will occur for a few more episodes if they are season 1 but after that, barring further issues, he should be good to go. :)

Hey people,

I believe there's a mistake in this Show's data entry; Constantine: City of Demons. I've checked EVERY torrent website and everywhere that I know but there isn't a 6th episode for this show, let a lone 5 other episode (up to the 10th episode.) Even Google is listing this show to have only 5 episodes NOT 10.

IMDB is listing it to have up to 10 episodes, and you can see to the left of where the genres are written, that it says "1h 30min" and I think IMDB is mistaking the movie with the series because I've seen both the series (7 min runtime per episode) and the movie (1h 30min runtime) and I can definitely say that we should change it back to 5 episodes only.
